Phospholipide sind Bestandteil der Membranen aller Körperzellen und sie sind in besonders hoher Menge in den Gehirn- und Nervenzellen zu finden. Letztendlich sind sie, zumindest als Bestandteil der gesamten Körperzellen, in nahezu alle Stoffwechselvorgängen im Körper involviert.
Die in Phospholipids enthaltenen Tocopherole tragen zudem dazu bei, die Körperzellen vor oxidativem Stress, wie er durch Training entstehen kann, zu schützen.
